The United States military announced the end of the latest series of strikes on Iran, stating that the capital Tehran was among the areas targeted.
On the orders of President Donald Trump, the US military has concluded a new series of attacks in Iran. Among the targets was the port of Bandar Abbas, and Iranian media say the capital Tehran was also hit, the agencies and the AP report.
The US-Iran conflict is intensifying
The US has stepped up attacks in northern Iran and hit a ship trying to break a naval blockade imposed on the Islamic Republic. In response, Iran has attacked Bahrain and Kuwait with missiles and drones.
The confrontations in recent days between the US and Iran, as well as tensions over the Strait of Hormuz, have compromised the provisional agreement aimed at stopping the conflict. This escalation risks throwing the entire Middle East into all-out war again.

Iranian officials claim that the US attacks have already resulted in over 35 deaths and over 300 injuries.
“US Central Command (CENTCOM) concluded a series of strikes against Iran at 9:00 p.m. ET on July 15 (Thursday, July 16, 4:00 a.m. in Romania – nr). US forces struck Iranian command centers, air defense bases, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities to further reduce Iran’s ability to threaten innocent sailors who are part of the crews of commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM used precision munitions to strike targets at multiple locations, including Bandar Abbas ,” CENTCOM said on X.
“This morning (Wednesday – nr), US forces struck coastal defense bases and cruise missile bases on Tunb Mare Island, in a series of attacks that lasted 90 minutes ,” CENTCOM recalls. “ The US military is holding Iran accountable, as directed by the Supreme Commander ,” the CENTCOM post states.

The latest US strikes have also reached the capital Tehran. State media reported that targets in Semnan province, where Iran is developing its space program and manufacturing ballistic missiles, were also hit.
The speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said his country was ready for war if Washington did not comply with the temporary agreement.
