Who is the Russian general killed in the attack that shook Moscow? He coordinated one of the most important sectors of the army

Several independent Russian media sources, however, claim that the person killed is Damir Davidov, one of the most important officials in the Ministry of Defense. He headed the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU), a structure essential for supplying the Russian army with ammunition for missile and artillery systems used on the front.

In the first hours after the attack, information was also circulating on Russian Telegram channels that the target might have been Colonel General Alexander Maksimtsev, a high-ranking official in the Russian Aerospace Forces. Later, attention focused on Davydov.

According to reports in the Russian press, the explosive device was placed under the driver’s seat and had a power comparable to that of several hundred grams of TNT, enough to completely destroy the vehicle.

The area where the explosion occurred has special significance. The Aviatorov neighborhood was built for military personnel and their families, and many of the homes are distributed by the Ministry of Defense to veterans, reservists, and relatives of military personnel.

Damir Davidov was considered one of the key specialists of the Russian military industry. Born in 1969 in a city associated with the arms industry, he built his entire career in the defense sector. He worked on the development of rocket engines and artillery ammunition, and over the years he held leading positions in some of Russia’s most important military and technical structures.
