Romanian Patriarchate reacts to the attack on the Cathedral of the Dormition
The Romanian Patriarchate reacted to the events and said it was viewing the situation with deep concern and sadness. Moscow blames Patriot missile
Russia has denied allegations that it hit the historic Kiev Pechersk Lavra monastery during the nighttime attack on the Ukrainian capital. Moscow claims the attack targeted military factories and says the religious site was actually damaged by a US-made Patriot air defense missile. “The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation do not plan or carry out attacks against civilian infrastructure. According to confirmed reports, the building complex of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra was hit by a missile from the US Patriot air defense system. A possible reason for the malfunction of this system could be the fact that Western countries supplied the Kiev regime with outdated missiles,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
